Connells / DF / Love Tractor July 19, DF live LP, GH spring dates

FRIDAY, JULY 19: Dillon Fence In Flagrante Delicto live LP release date, The Connells / Dillon Fence / Love Tractor @ North Carolina Museum of Art

Hi folks,
Good stuff happening this spring and summer. First up, we've set a date for the release of our Dillon Fence live LP, In Flagrante Delicto – Friday, July 19. Recorded live at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, NC on April 28, 2023, this will be our first DF release in many years. Chris Goode, Kent Alphin, Scott Carle and I have worked hard to make sure it'll be a release that our fans will appreciate.

The release date for In Flagrante Delicto – Friday, July 19 – also happens to be the date of our big show with The Connells and Love Tractor at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, NC. Come celebrate with us at this beautiful outdoor venue! Tickets on sale this Thursday, April 4 for museum members, for non-members Friday, April 5 right here.

Going to be a special show for us. We had a fantastic time last fall with The Connells in Chapel Hill, and we’re excited to do it again. There is a lot of history between our two bands, as many of you are aware. In fact, one of our first shows playing for a larger audience happened when The Connells had us as their opening act in 1988 (?) at Raleigh NC’s Memorial Hall. A band photo from the bathroom of the venue that very night adorns the back cover of our debut EP. Holy smokes! The Connells certainly helped blaze the trail we have traveled. I love ‘em.

Speaking of trailblazers, Love Tractor is also on the bill! An absolutely huge part of the legendary Athens, GA music scene and a band from that beautiful town who inspired us with their creative spirit and singular songwriting. Can’t wait to see and hear them again. It’s going to be a great night of music.

Greg Humphreys & Friends – Spring Dates

I've been enjoying my "& Friends" sets so far! Have a couple of shows coming up this week in NYC and East Hampton, NY. First up, back at 11th St Bar in the East Village this Wednesday, April 3 for my First-Wednesday-of-the-month residency.

I'll have Jason Ewald on drums and vox, Marcus Farrar (Antibalas) on percussion and vox, and Brett Bass on the bass guitar. Had a great time singing with Jason and Marcus in March, and the grooves are heavy. We hit at 9 PM, come out! Songsmith Jamie Block starts the show at 8 PM.

On Sunday, April 7 I'm playing a 3 PM set at The ClubHouse in East Hampton, NY as part of the Spring Fling mini-fest, a fundraiser for the Sag Harbor American Music Festival (happening September 24–26, 2024.) I'll have Nick Sferlazza on bass guitar and Jake Schott on drums, and there's a great lineup of East End talent from 12 PM – 5 PM. Tickets and info here!

Check the full spring and summer schedule at greghumphreys.net. I've been posting some new songs that I'm excited about over on my IG... as always, thank you for listening.
More soon,
Greg
